Photeon Technologies offers a range of integrated optic design services and photonic IP (Intellectual Property) blocks that enable customers to extend their own capabilities. Our expertise encompasses the design of Duplexers based on VCSELs and p-i-n photodetectors as well as DWDM, CWDM, Switchable AWGs, PLC Splitters and Photonic crystal devices.

Beside the traditional offering of optical products and services, Photeon can also support customers in defining and developing complex electronic systems in short times, "turning marketing requirements into product concepts" as well as selecting manufacturing and outsourcing partners for prototyping and volume production.

Photeon has the possibility to provide design and prototyping of active bidirectional optical components for short distance communication. The current active solution is based on integrated vertical cavity surface-emitting laser (VCSEL) and p-i-n photodetector devices.

We use advanced simulation techniques to create innovative designs for photonic crystal devices. Photeon also has the facilities to produce prototypes for these designs.

Our DWDM designs are available in channel counts of 4 up to 256, with various channel spacings possible on request. We also offer designs for colorless DWDM, CWDMs and our switchable passband AWGs, which enable rapid switching between Gaussian and Flat-top passbands in a single device.

We offer various designs for 1xN PLC splitters with very competitive results, capable of up to 64-way splitting and ideal for use in PONs FTTx applications.
